Chain Reaction | Book Review

Jack Reacher #31
By Lee Child and Andrew Child

Entertaining and Enjoyable
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SUMMARY
She found him. Jack Reacher is usually a hard man to find, never staying in one place for long. He doesn’t own a home or even a cell phone; he travels around the country, carrying only a toothbrush. His only modern link to anything is an ATM card he uses once in a while. And General Susan Turner found him. Turner suspects a traitor under her command, and she needs someone independent whom she can trust. She needs Jack Reacher.
John Bisley, a young, smart CID Special Agent working for Turner, has expertise in digital forensics and was working on a mysterious cybercrime case. He was brutally murdered in Summertown, Colorado, a town with a population of four, known for an immense solar array and five massive data centers.
REVIEW
CHAIN REACTION starts as a simple mystery, but the more Reacher investigates, the problem expands exponentially into a larger conspiracy.
One of my favorite parts of the story was placing Reacher into the world of data centers and cryptocurrency; the man doesn’t even own a cell phone. He knows nothing about solar arrays and data centers, but he still gets the job done by bringing in the people who do. Reacher knows when he needs help and how to convince people to help him,
Chapters are short, and the dialogue is crisp. Frequent revelations keep the story moving. The story is a fast-paced, tension-filled thriller and Reacher naturally leaves a trail of bad guys in his wake. It’s classic Jack Reacher and very enjoyable and entertaining, particularly if, like me, you are a longtime Reacher fan.
Jack Reacher fans will remember General Susan Turner from NEVER GO BACK when Reacher called his previous Army phone number, and Turner answered, and a relationship developed. Loved their relationship back then and even more now.
