SUMMARY

As Christmas approaches, Mallory Blue juggles extra hospital shifts to afford her grandmother Nan’s, memory care. When tasked with managing the community Christmas play her grandmother had directed for years,  Mallory feels overwhelmed. Two things help her cope: her grandmother's keepsake journal and Hollis, a troublemaker from her past. Hollis volunteers to be Santa in the play and also tries to win her heart. Through the keepsake journal, Mallory uncovers new truths about Nan's life and advice that holds the key to creating holiday magic and shaping her own future.

The Keepsake Christmas is a charming story full of hope and heart. It’s a relaxing and easy read set in a small town with well-developed characters. The characters even make you feel their stress, joy, or sadness. My favorite part was discovering Mallory’s grandmother’s past through her stories behind the keepsake ornaments.
