Love the Concept of Intertwined Stories of Different Types of Love

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

 SUMMARY

Meet Me in Paris is a novel of several intertwined stories of love, loss, courage, and redemption. The book is set over one week in spring in Paris and follows nine Americans, each with a different love story to tell.

There is Henry's story of a long-lost love, Julia and Piper’s mother-daughter love, and Jackson’s almost-too-late love. There is also the protective love Shelby feels from her best friends, who take her to Paris to celebrate a divorce. Woven within are also a first love, a forbidden love, and the story of the love you need to give yourself.

REVIEW

I love how Meet Me in Paris has every kind of love story wrapped into one perfect present from Paris.  It’s a wonderful, easy read despite the numerous stories and characters.  Author Kristen Harmel makes us feel as if we are spending a week in Paris, observing and relating to the stories swirling around us. I have already booked my flight to Paris for next summer! I hope my week is as amazing as the book.

From first love to late-in-life love, each story is smartly intertwined. Harmel's writing and characters are delightful. It’s a perfect read for the beach or cuddled up with a blanket and a glass of wine. It’s hard to pick just one, but one of my favorite parts was the rock concert by American 1990s singer Jackson Quick and the performance of his hit song City of Lights

Author Kristen Harmel is a fabulous author. I love all her books, especially The Forest of Vanishing Stars, The Book of Lost Names, and The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau.  I love how she chose to make this a modern-day story rather than historical fiction. I would love to see this made into a movie!

Thank you to Netgalley for an advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed here are my own.
