SUMMARY
Emily an Human Resources Executive, has met the man of her dreams. She thinks Adam is perfect. He is the man of her dreams. That is, until she meets the other woman, his mother Pammie. Adam is totally devoted to his mother and Pammie will stop at nothing, to do what’s best for her son. And she doesn’t want him to be with Emily.

Have you ever read a book where the character’s behavior frustrated you tremendously? I spent a large portion of this book angry with Emily who failed to read the signs. She overstayed a relationship. She should have run for the hills or kicked the jerk out when she first met Adam’s mother. Emily is an emotional weak woman and she kept letting Adam back in, again and again.
This is one of the books that raises the debate of whether you have to like the characters, to like the book. My preference is to read books with strong female protagonists, and this one starts strong with Emily at a conference with colleagues and she totally stands up for herself in chapter one. But then, once she is enmeshed with Adam she changes her spots. The book is good. It’s readable, and worth the read, but just don’t expect to like any of the characters You have to finish the book to get its full appreciation. Author Sandie Jones has written a fast-paced and quick read. She has been a freelance journalist for over 20 years, and she lives in London with her husband and three children. THE OTHER WOMAN is her debut novel. The Audible version of the book was well performed by Clare Corbett.
